Melbourne International Boat Show 2017

Billed as Victoria’s Premier Boating Event, the Melbourne International Boat Show draws an international crowd allowing them to interface with experts, climb about and check out the boats, and learn all aspects imaginable about boats and the marine industry. The four-day expo seeks to prove their tagline, “Life’s Better With a Boat”, though the visitors to the event already agree. Arguably the best aspect of any trade show of this nature, being able to see, touch, and board the boats makes the biggest impact.

With roots in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and a permanent home in Nashville, Georgia, Chaparral has been building boats since 1965 and many of their builders are second and third generation boat builders ensuring a solid level of quality. At the Melbourne International Boat Show, Chaparral proudly displayed boats from their surf boat series. What makes these surf boats unique is the inclusion of the hydraulically operable Malibu Surf Gate™. This gate lets passengers enjoy the ride and not worry about shaping the waves as it transforms wake into surfable and customizable waves.
