The Dior Cafe is located on the third floor of the iconic Dior boutique on 39th Street in Miami’s Design District.

Located on the boutique’s third-floor outdoor terrace, the Dior café continues a longstanding tradition first established by Monsieur Christian Dior and the desire to spread his love for the art of entertaining and his taste in art de vivre. In keeping with this spirit, the new café offers seated table service featuring a concise menu of coffee, teas, juices and assorted fruits and pastries.

Decor

As one would expect, the decor of the Dior Cafe in Miami is a work of art in itself. It was designed by the acclaimed Doo Architecture.

Upon entering the space, guests will discover a prominent Toile de Jouy theme, recently modernized by Artistic Director Maria Grazia Chiuri for the Cruise 2019 collection with the addition of unexpected animals such as tigers, giraffes and bears. This iconic 18th century French print, which from 1947 adorned the walls of Monsieur Dior’s first boutique at 30 Avenue Montaigne in Paris, is found throughout the space on decorative pillows and printed directly onto the terrace decking. Wild animals from the Toile de Jouy’s pastoral scenes are brought to life as oversized 3D sculptures that “roam” the space and hang from the trees, transporting you into a magical realm throughout the café.

The Miami restaurant is intimate, with less than twenty tables, so be sure to arrive early!

Menu

The cafe has a limited menu of coffee, teas, juices, fruits, and also desserts. Most notable to visitors is the cappuccino complete with the word Dior in cocoa powder on top! Visitors have warned on social media that the service is not fast, so don’t stop here when you’re short on time. Instead, visit when you not rushed so you can enjoy the Miami atmosphere of this stylish cafe.

What Else to Do

Finally, if you’re heading to visit the Dior Cafe in Miami, there are plenty of other attractions you’ll want to visit. The Design District is full of boutiques, museums, restaurants, and hotels. There are also many installments of public artwork.

Like all authentic neighborhoods, the Miami Design District continues to evolve: public art installations including the Buckminster Fuller Fly¹s Eye Dome, more amazing shops, restaurants and galleries, and a boutique hotel and residences are all planned. A renaissance of the streetscape and landscape of the District designed by Island Planning Corp is underway.

The de la Cruz Collection is a must visit for art lovers. This contemporary art collection is the passion of Cuban-American bottling magnates Rosa and Carlos de la Cruz. The Design District is also home to the Institute for Contemporary Art as well.

For anyone with a passion for fashion, a trip to the Dior Cafe in Miami is an absolute must. You’ll join celebrities and influencers galore during your visit to this unique Miami restaurant. Word on the street is that it will only be open through April, so make your plans to visit right away! For even more of the world of haute couture, explore The History Behind Dior’s Famous Bag.
