Michelin Star Restaurants in London

For more than 100 years, we’ve looked to the French company Michelin to guide us to the best restaurants around the world.  The Red Guides, as many call the guidebooks, annually announce the recipients of Michelin’s coveted stars.  Today, we will take a look at Michelin Star Restaurants in London!

The Fat Duck

The Fat Duck offers diners an experience designed around the nostalgia of childhood.  Created by Heston Blumenthal, your entire dining journey will be filled with memories of holidays past, but with food!  Described as evoking discovery, adventure and curiosity, The Fat Duck is something you’ve never experienced before.  You must book early, because The Fat Duck journey books fast.  What a fun way to kick-off our list of Michelin Star Restaurants in London!

St. John

Travelers will find St. John located on St. John Street in the heart of London.  The menu at St. John is filled with traditional British cuisine and drink from Fergus Henderson and Trevor Gulliver.  Expect seating for as few as 1 all the way up to a family of 6 from this London staple.  All of this leaves us with no wonder why St. John is on the list of Michelin Star Restaurants in London!

Veeraswamy

Touted as London’s oldest Indian restaurant Veeraswamy offers high-end dining in opulent interiors reminiscent of 1920s Maharajal palaces.  Veeraswamy opened in 1926 by Edward Palmer who had considerable knowledge of Indian food.  Palmer worked to promote Indian foods “so that they could be used under Western conditions and yet produce Eastern results.”  Though Veeraswamy has had different owners and looks over the years, it’s current incarnation is reminiscent of its original days.  Definitely fine dining in London at it’s best!

The Five Fields

The Five Fields offers elegant, playful and modern British cooking with an emphasis on native British artisanal produce.  A collaboration of Chef Patron Taylor Bonnyman and Head Chef Marguerite Keogh, The Five Fields features carefully sourced food such as lamb from Yorkshire, fresh fish from Cornwall and scallops from Orkney. The restaurant also serves local vegetables, many of which are grow in-house or at their garden in East Sussex.  Local, fresh fine dining in London, in deed!

Pidgin

Even though Chef Elizabeth Allen left shortly after Pidgin earned its Michelin Star, the restaurant has maintained its standing and quality.  Pidgin offers an Asian-inspired, set four-course menu that changes weekly along with their featured wines and cocktails.  The restaurant is described as small, but perfectly formed and that is exactly what guest should expect!  Pidgin exemplifies fine dining in London!

No trip abroad is complete without experiencing the best of local cuisine. Plan your trip accordingly and you will be able to book seating at any of the mentioned Michelin Star Restaurants in London!
