During his years at Gucci, Tom Ford made a name for himself with extravagantly glamorous collections and over the top runway shows. His shows in the 90’s became synonymous with the luxurious vibes of the times. Ford backed off of the glitz for the past twenty or so years, but there are indications that he is ready to bring some of the old Ford back to the fashion world. While his newest collection was devoid of the furs, feathers, and rose petals of some of his Gucci shows, Tom Ford’s SS18 collection features plenty of glamour. Ford’s strong menswear skills are evident in the strong tailoring of the trousers, jackets, and trench coats. The looks are feminine with a color palette of pinks, both soft and neon, and neutrals.
