Designer Muriel Brandolini and her husband Nuno collaborated with architect Raffaella Bortoluzzi of Labo Design Studio to remodel their Hampton Bays home. Peter Hallock designed his Hamptons home himself. “I didn’t want the house to look decorated.” he explains. “I just don’t like walking into someone’s house and knowing right away who the decorator is, and I prefer a ‘traditionally eclectic,’ personal style. When it comes to decor, if an object or a piece of furniture really appeals to you, then somehow it will work in the overall scheme.” This style is evident in his patio choices, from the 1940s era chairs to the eye catching and ornate red tablecloths, which he found in a Paris flea market.
Louise Grunwald’s Southampton home is one with a style that is elegant but not stuffy. Simply charming is how many might describe this cozy beachside escape. A petite dining table setting, mostly white with earthy green accents, is a perfect spot for a bite to eat before following the path to the beach.
