The Taj Mahal is an example of Mughal architecture, a style that combines Persian, Indian, and Islamic architectural styles. It was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983 and was cited as “the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world’s heritage.”

Casa Milà, popularly known as ‘La Pedrera’ (the stone quarry), was built between 1906 and 1912. In 1984, it was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List.
