Some say driving an expensive car is purely a stroke of one’s ego, but there are a number of reasons that people are drawn to a luxury car.  A single person may want a nice car to attract a spouse however a business person may want to portray success.  Some may just have a love for a particular car, or perhaps they travel extensively and want to ride in comfort. Whatever the reason, there is no shortage when it comes to expensive car brands, here are five of the most expensive (and luxurious) car brands.

Aston Martin describes its V8 Vantage as the cornerstone of their Vantage family. With both coupe and convertible models, the V8 Vantage is as sporty as it is sexy with the option of a six-speed manual gearbox, or a seven-speed paddle shift transmission. While the Bentley is well-known for its commitment to luxury and quality, its Continental GT has landed on the most expensive lists repeatedly over the years. When it comes to Rolls Royce, they have several models available, but the classic Phantom is our pick. It’s their signature model and even they describe it as “timeless and iconic”. Indeed it is. Rolls Royce has been the benchmark of what many see as a symbol of success and wealth, a title they’re certain to maintain.

A few years ago a pop singer told us that if we wanted a Bugatti, we “better work”. She was right, and Bugatti’s Veyron Super Sport will make anyone want to work if this is the reward. Bugatti is known for taking their successful models and creating sport versions and those have become just as successful, if not more so. The sleek, simple design of the car is representative of its founder’s roots in art, and it is (as are the other models in the Bugatti family) truly a piece of art.

Designed as a reference vehicle and styled as a modern interpretation of Maybach-Motorenbau GmbH’s streamlined sports car from the 1930s, it was built in 2004 and has become a legend as there are only about a dozen in the world.
