Oceanco is known for building some of the most incredible custom superyachts in the industry. Their focus is on the owner’s vision as they work to make it into a reality and create the perfect yacht each time. In 2017, Oceanco launched the largest yacht built in the Netherlands, the Jubilee. It is one of the most impressive yachts ever created. The Jubilee was built for the late Emir of Qatar. After his death, though, the Qatar royal family listed it for sale through Burgess Yachts for $310,000,000 (though their listing doesn’t include a sale price, so it could certainly vary).
With a striking profile, the 361-foot Jubilee is made of a steel hull and aluminum exterior. Classified as a Lloyds Register, 100 A1 Passenger Yacht, LMC UMS ECO SCM with a 2 x 4,828 MTU engine. The Jubilee’s exterior was designed by Lobanov Design and its interior was designed by Sam Sorgiovanni Designs. As Oceanco describes the vessel, “Displacing over 4,500 Gross Tons, with 16.4m/54ft beam, this formidable yacht still manages to maintain a very noble and original profile from bow to stern. Her progressively longer horizontal blue lines make Jubilee truly distinctive from all other yachts.” The spacious interior accommodates up to 30 guests in 15 staterooms and 45 crew members in 24 cabins. The owner, however, has an entire private deck to themselves.
The fully turnkey Project Jubilee is a first in yachting because it comes fully outfitted with all the supplies the owner could need. This includes tenders, spares, and watersports equipment. Also onboard is china, crystal, silverware, table linens, sheets, loose furniture, cushions, and more. One of its most impressive features, though, is the helicopter operating deck which is fully certified and has a concealed mooring deck below it.
Upon its launch, the Jubilee’s build captain Roy Dance noted, “Our plans for Jubilee’s first season are to cruise the Western Med, but after that, who knows, this yacht is certainly capable of going anywhere in the world.” What better way to spend the day but poolside on this luxury vessel on the pool deck.
Since the yacht was built for an Arabic family, it includes spaces on the ship known as Majelis. This Arabic term meaning “a place of sitting” acts as a reception and lounge-type area to welcome guests as well as entertain. This is most certainly an entertainer’s yacht and is sure to delight many guests. Beyond the Majelis areas, the ship also has a large elevator, a hammam, a steam room, a gym, and a large beach club. The Jubilee even has its own hospital aboard as well as a dedicated crew gym.
