Italian design and craft have long been synonymous with quality and luxury. Of the Italian brands, Lamborghini is one that calls to mind the finest in luxury cars. Dating back to the early 1960s, Lamborghini began to set the standard for designing and manufacturing the luxury cars we’ve all come to know and yearn. The Lamborghini Centanario is no exception.
The company known for producing super sports cars has done it again with the Centenario. A homage to the company’s founding father in honor of the 100th anniversary of his birth, the design of this car holds true to the Lamborghini brand while ensuring that it is sleek and also sophisticated from every angle. The show-stopping Centenario must be seen to be believed.
As beautiful as the car is on the outside, the interior is equal parts cockpit and control center while also being comfortable. With seats that are both supportive and soothing, controls that are easy to navigate, and displays that look as though they’re from the future, the interior of the Lamborghini Centenario is as impressive as the exterior.
The car sports a V12, multipoint injection engine. This will take the Lamborghini Centenario up to speeds of 217 miles per hour at an acceleration speed of 2.8 seconds from zero to 62 or 23.5 seconds from zero to 186. The model that is more than sporty can halt its power quickly also, braking 62 to zero in 98 feet.
Lamborghini says that “the Centenario has been conceived with the purpose of exploring new technology and design opportunities, to look at the future through the lens of innovation. One of the most exclusive (and sought-after) cars in the whole world.” Exclusive, it is, as the limited edition includes 20 coupes and 20 roadsters for a total of just 40 one-offs in this production line.
Since its inception, the Lamborghini has steadily become known as a quality, luxury vehicle. The car’s and the company’s namesake would be as proud today as when he first formed Automobili Ferruccio Lamborghini. The Lamborghini Centanario holds up the company’s tradition of quality and luxury. So, tell us, is the Lamborghini for you? Or, maybe you more of a Bugatti person?
