Kravitz Design was founded by Grammy Award winning rock legend Lenny Kravitz, They now have their first multi-unit residential project in New York with 75 Kenmare.  Builder Dan Hollander started planning to replace a parking garage with a condominium at the corner of Mulberry and Kenmare Streets. He wanted a designer who both knew the area and understood “downtown cool”. Kravitz Design shared his vision, and brought a luxurious, modern, rock & roll sensibility to the design.

Kravitz’ vision was to blend a sense of the area’s scruffy artistic past with the high end finishes that are in luxury Manhattan apartments.  His team accomplished this by mixing rough finishes with refined surfaces and also using materials in creative ways.  In the lobby, a shimmering wall of mirrored and iridescent mosaic tile contrast the exposed concrete ceiling.  Some floors in the building consist of four different natural stone types set in geometric patterns.  “Home is a place where  you feel like yourself and where your spirit is comfortable,” explains Lenny Kravitz of his design style.
