Started in Alsace in 1909, Bugatti has a reputation for building exclusive, beautiful racing cars. The 2019 collection of Bugatti automobiles holds true to this legacy. This year you will be in awe with the debut of the Divo and Chiron Grand Sport. Read on for everything you need to know about the best Bugatti cars to hit the road.
The debut of the Chiron Sport from Bugatti Automobiles set the luxury car world on fire with its sleek design and racing-inspired details.
The Chiron Sport is Bugattis breathtaking new interpretation of the ultimate super sports car, unveiled at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show. A firmer chassis setting combined with lightweight components provide even sharper handling and exhilarating agility – without compromising the Chiron’s uniquely luxurious character.
The Chiron Sport is anything but short on power. With a quad-turbocharged W16 engine, 1,500 horsepower, and also 1,180 lb-ft of torque, it provides an exhilarating driving experience. Bugatti improved upon the base Chiron model by stripping the Chiron Sport of an additional 40 pounds. They even went as far as developing their own carbon fiber windshield wiper arms to reduce the vehicle’s weight.
The rear-axle differential gains Dynamic Torque Vectoring, which Bugatti says will make a noticeable difference in cornering. Lightweight wheels help shed pounds too, along with more carbon fiber in the stabilizer and intercooler cover. Even the rear window has lighter glass than the regular Chiron. -SlashGear.com
All of these improvements make the Chiron Sport one of the world’s most luxurious driving machines. It also makes it one of these best Bugatti automobiles. Unfortunately, the Chiron Sport sold out immediately upon release.
We have seen all the improvements of the Chiron Grand Sport. How could the designers at Bugatti Automobiles create something even more inspired? As difficult as it is to believe, that is exactly what Bugatti did. The release of its new Divo model took the world by storm. The best Bugatti cars just got a little better!
“When I took up my position at Bugatti at the beginning of the year, I soon learnt that our customers and fans were waiting for a special vehicle which would tell a further story for the brand in addition to the Chiron, the Bugatti team was also very eager to implement a project like this. To date, a modern Bugatti has represented a perfect balance between high performance, straight-line dynamics and luxurious comfort.” -Stephan Winkelmann, president of Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S.
Bugatti named the Divo for Albert Divo. Divo was a two-time winner of the grueling Targa Florio race in Italy in a Bugatti Type 35. The Divo started with the Chiron base. They then changed the car’s aerodynamics package to increase downforce by 198 pounds. Bugatti Automobiles also reduced the overall vehicle weight by 77 pounds. This created a vehicle made for winding roads at top speeds with unmatched handling.
The interior of the Divo is a definite departure from the more staid luxury of the Chiron. Where the Chiron is all soft leather and beautifully machined metal, the Divo is brightly colored Alcantara on the driver’s side and gray-black Alcantara on the passenger side, leaving little doubt as to who this car is meant for. -Cnet.com
Bugatti Automobiles announced a limited release of just forty Divos, all of which also sold out almost immediately as expected.
Certainly, the lucky owners of the 2019 Bugatti automobiles are among the luckiest drivers in the world. The best Bugatti cars are something that everyone covets! For more amazing vehicles, explore Car Tech’s Latest from the Geneva Motor Show.
