Limited edition cars come in a variety of sizes, performance levels, and price points. While some limited edition cars fade from the spotlight quickly, others improve in value or give us a glimpse of trends to come. Here is a preview of four limited edition cars currently on the market that are worth learning more about.
The new brand Italdesign Automobili Speciali made its debut at the 87th Geneva International Motor Show in 2017, unveiling the Zerouno. With collectors in mind, the Zeruno will combine racing car features and performance with luxury car standards to create a vehicle that can operate on normal roads. Only five units will be available of this highly exclusive design concept.
Italdesign is offering a seemingly endless list of customization options. The five lucky owners of Zerouno automobiles will be able to customize their cars to the point that each vehicle will be truly unique. In addition to a custom color finish, Italdesign has several optional packages involving the exterior and inside the cockpit.
With a modular chassis in carbon fibre and aluminium, this special car boasts a 5.2 litre V10 engine which enables 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 3.2 seconds, with a top speed of 330 km/h. A car with that kind of speed will need high quality tires, and Formula 1’s exclusive provider, Pirelli, is to equip the fist Automobili Speciali model. Pirelli’s engineers developed a custom version of their high performing P Zero tires to be used on the Zerouno. The tires come in custom colors as well (buyers will choose from white, red, yellow, and metallic grey) to further customize this limited edition special vehicle.

When considering luxury limited edition vehicles, many often do not think of trucks. Ford is aiming to change that. Ford kept high-end customers with heavy duty towing needs in mind with the F-250, F.350, and F-450 Super Duty Limited. Owners of small yachts and CEOs of construction businesses will appreciate the luxuriousness of these “made for work” vehicles.
The Super Duty lineup is a win for all of our customers, from successful ranchers to contractors to RV owners,” said Todd Eckert, Ford Truck group marketing manager. “Super Duty Limited is the most luxurious and advanced heavy-duty pickup truck ever created by Ford for accomplished buyers, with appetites for the high life and hard-earned dollars to match.
The 2018 Super Duty Limited will be the most luxurious, technologically advanced Super Duty available to date. The trucks will feature 20” aluminum wheels, a satin chrome grill and tailgate applique, premium Camelback two-tone leather seats, and dark ash swirl wood treatments. Other interior amenities include stitched leather steering wheels and suede headliners.
Technology wise, Ford has been generous with these designs. Standard features include adaptive cruise control, a 360 degree camera, lane keep assist, and also a panoramic moonroof. You will also find heated and cooled seating surfaces as well as a heated steering wheel.
