Palma’s Superyacht Show is perfectly timed at the beginning of the Mediterranean summer season. There is plenty of time for clients to purchase a yacht, or to book a charter and enjoy it during the summer months. With a wide selection of sailing and motor yachts between 78 feet (24 meters) and 196 feet (60 meters) in length on display, the Palma Superyacht Show attracts over 600 International clients, captains/crew, and industry visitors.
Kick off
To kick off the event in a suitably celebratory manner, Port Tarraco hosted a Happy Hour on Friday the 27th. Port Tarraco, a superyacht marina located in Tarragona, prides itself on offering 64 berths for yachts up to 524 feet (160 meters). With Palma internationally recognized as a major Refit and Repair center in the Mediterranean, the show now also has a specialized area for refit and repair.
Cultural Destination
Palma is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city where you can experience a wide range of cultural, gastronomic and sporting activities all within a short distance. It is also considered to be the center of yachting in the Mediterranean and has a thriving yachting industry. Palma is not just a perfect weekend destination offering first class boutique hotels. It also has a thriving old town and hosts some of the best restaurants in Europe.
The Show
The show is organized by the Balearic Yacht Brokers Association, a group of six international brokers, with the sole purpose to provide an effective business platform to the industry to promote yachting and its services. The Palma Superyacht Show runs concurrently with the well established Boat Show Palma and is an exclusive show for yachts over 78 feet (24 meters). Organized by the industry, for the industry, the Palma Superyacht Show has a unique personality with a relaxed and also social atmosphere.
This year there was also a new 236 foot (72 meter) floating bridge. This made getting around the show and seeing the various yachts easier for visitors. At the show, you can expect to see anything from record-breaking racers and cruisers to stylish motor yachts.
Luxury Vessels
The show allows visitors to “kick the tires” on dozens of boats in the 78- 98 foot (24-30 meter) bracket, which have the benefit of being able to berth in most marinas, not to mention drop anchor in secluded bays. A good range of plus 131 foot (40 meter) super yachts were also on display garnering the attention of shoppers. These super yachts are vessels that can easily accommodate 12 guests, boast amazing luxuries, and have the range to take you wherever you’d like to go. The 131 foot (40 meter) motor yacht TATii is not only in top cruising condition but boasts infinite attributes, such as a luscious swimming pool on the fore deck and chic Ibiza-style aft deck dining area.

Crew Fashion
In the exhibit area, this year’s maritime styles were available for viewing. New and fashionable options were showcased for those Captains and/or Chief Stewardesses looking to dress up the yacht’s crew in a crisp new uniform. DWD provided information on custom their Made to Measure Solution.
