Bins & Boxes

As Benjamin Franklin stated, “A place for everything, everything in its place.” Into our lives tend to fall many items both small and large. One easy way to keep track of all of these things is to establish a place for everything. Whether it’s gift wrapping tools, electronics accessories, or a fun button collection, if your things have a home, you’ll be able to find them easily. To that end, we love repurposing something like a card catalog for the smaller things or finding some stylish bins for the larger items that would be useful in the closet or attractive sitting out in the room.

Shelf Dividers

This is one of the most simple tools you can implement almost anywhere, but it has a huge impact. Our favorites are these clear, acrylic dividers from The Container Store because they have no visual impact yet they help keep your closets and cupboards tidy. Use them to keep your folded clothes in neat piles on your closet shelf, to keep your linens organized in your linen closet, to keep your pantry easy to navigate, or anywhere else where you store your things, the possibilities are endless.

Wine Racks

You have wine racks in your home that you use for the obvious, storing your wine; but, wine racks can be useful for the storage of so many other items around your home. Put it in your pantry to store bottles of any kind, use them in your garage to store cans or tools, keep them with your workout gear to organize your water bottles, or use them anywhere you need some extra storage organization. While we really like these acrylic, stackable racks we found on Amazon, we’ve also used a wall-mounted rack to hold architectural drawings – a method that would work great in a craft or gift wrap room.

Quality Hangers

One of the first places we look every morning is our closet. This makes closet organization one of our more paramount priorities. While it may seem unnecessary, creating a uniform hanger plan has benefits that include not only keeping your clothes in good shape but also maintaining a pleasing aesthetic in your closet. You may wish to opt for the flocked hangers – especially if you have garments that easily slide off hangers, but our pick is the wooden hanger.
